We use personal information and information obtained by electronic communication for our own organizational activities and our interactions with you, including but not limited to advancing our advocacy efforts.
In order to advance these goals and activities, information you provide may be entered into a supporter or voter information database, shared with partners, organizations or other entities with our shared goals, and with service providers, vendors, and consultants. We will use your e-mail address or other contact information to communicate with you about the efforts to pass a Fair Tax constitutional amendment in Illinois, including but not limited to sending you information to keep you informed about various issues, events, activities, and volunteer opportunities, and provide news and information we think will be of interest to you and to communicate with you about your participation in our campaign. You may unsubscribe from these communications at any time.
We may contact you to solicit volunteers, donations and support for Vote Yes for Fair Tax and for other candidates, issues and organizations that we support and to connect you with other volunteers;
When you send e-mail or other communications to us we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests, advance our advocacy goals, and improve our services.
We use both your personally identifying information and certain non-personally identifying information (such as anonymous usage data, IP addresses, browser type, clickstream data, etc.) to improve the quality of your user experience and the design of the Website, and to create new features, functionality and services by storing, tracking and analyzing user behavior, preferences, trends and actions.
We may also contact you if federal or state law requires us to request additional information from you and may use information to prevent, identify, and investigate inappropriate or illegal activities and to protect the rights and property of Vote Yes for Fair Tax.
We may use the aggregate or statistical website use information for security and maintenance purposes to improve our website and to better serve our visitors.
How We Protect Information
We take security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. These measures include security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.
It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer. If you send us an e-mail you should know that e-mail is not necessarily secure against interception. If your communication includes sensitive information and you prefer not to use one of our online contact forms, contact us by mail or telephone rather than by e-mail.

- If we believe your actions are inconsistent with our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of Vote Yes for Fair Tax, its partners, volunteers, constituents, or others;
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used by those third parties to identify you.
